Good day to all,

Over the past few years multiple sites have popup offering really great tutorials and training for free.

There are some that are dedicated to teaching code how to code and others are a mix and match of different type of classes.   Below you have a few links to some of the leading sites.

SCRATCH

With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community.  Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.  Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. It is provided free of charge.

THE HOUR OF CODE

Show your kids and students this video to kick off the Hour of Code. Also check out these videos, featuring Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Black Eyed Peas founder will.i.am and NBA star Chris Bosh talking about the importance of programming. (There are 1 minute, 5 minute, and 9 minute versions)

CODE ACADEMY

Codecademy is an education company. But not one in the way you might think. We're committed to building the best learning experience inside and out, making Codecademy the best place for our team to learn, teach, and create the online learning experience of the future.

Education is old. The current public school system in the US dates back to the 19th century and wasn't designed to scale the way it has. Lots of companies are working to "disrupt" education by changing the way things work in the classroom and by bringing the classroom online.

UDACITY

Working in tech, but not as an engineer? More and more roles in business, marketing, finance, design, and product management require technical skills. We have courses that allow you to master basics and build a solid technical foundation.
